CD Sunday - 'Sketch' - chosen by Carol

Here for you to ponder whilst we tell you about other matters  is the simple sketch I have designed:

First thank you to all those who entered our 7th Birthday Challenge - Spring Colours - chosen by Pauline and we will know in a couple of weeks who is the lucky winner.

But now sadly we have to announce that for health reasons Pauline has decided to step down from not only our Design Team but also many others of which she has been a member. We all will miss her input but we know that she will still be crafting at a gentler and less hectic pace.  Thank you to Pauline for all her hard work as part of our team.

Now second here is Jocelyn’s Top 3 choice for 'Any Old Iron'

1st    – Seafield Jo – with her second entry
I love this card, especially the two little metal charms! The design of the backing paper is very effective too - I may have to borrow that idea!!
2nd –  KandA
House Mouse is always a favourite of mine, in fact I have just received an order from Joanna Sheen's website of two House Mouse colouring books (yay!). Love the colours on this card.
3rd –  Sue
Such a lovely nostalgic image and I love the stitched look of the dies.
Well done Seafield Jo. Please contact us at cdsunday2@gmail.com to claim your prize and together with KandA and Sue grab the appropriate logo from the side bar.

I have given you the Sketch up at the top so here are the interpretations by the team starting with mine:

As always, please, please, do not forget to use something from a CD somewhere, however small, in the making of your card or project and give the CD credit. Entries that do not include the use of a CD, although welcome to see, will not be considered for the prize on offer.
See you next time.

CD Sunday - Spring Colours - chosen by Pauline

"Our 7th Birthday is on 18th April – almost exactly between two challenges – Pauline’s today and Carol’s on 23rd.

Please help us celebrate our 7th Birthday with 'Spring Colours' chosen by Pauline.
These birthday celebrations could become a permanent thing because when we had one last year and you supported us so well we decided to add a special gift for the winner of this our 7th Birthday and hope you will all support us again.
So……
Please make something with ‘Spring Colours’ and the winner of the Top 3 will become the proud owner of the following additional prize - donated by a team member.
Secret Slider by Tattered Lace

A really super brand new prize.  So please remember to use something from a CD – and tell us which one.  It would be an awful shame to do wonderful work and then not qualify for such a prize.
But we mustn’t forget other matters in our excitement.

Thank you to those who entered Jocelyn’s challenge and we will have the result in due course.
And the due course has arrived for the “Enjoy” Top 3 chosen by Margaret:

'This was not hard to do as I only had three, but thank you to those who did take part.'

1st    –Sues Crafty Corner

I did like this card, its very beautiful,  the image has a lot of interesting detail in it, and beautifully laid out.

2nd – Crafty Linby
This card was unusual and different,  I did like the image and the way you look as if you are looking through net curtains at the ladies having their afternoon tea.
3rd - Kanda
Lovely card, personally I do love house mouse images and this image is very sweet.

Well done Sue. Please contact us at cdsunday2@gmail.com to claim your prize and together with Lynby and Kanda grab the appropriate logo from the side bar.
Now here are the ideas from the team for Pauline’s “Spring Colours” challenge - starting of course with Pauline:

CD Sunday - "Any Old Iron" - chosen by Jocelyn

Jocelyn has chosen an unusual theme and the team have produced a great variety of cards to give you inspiration – but before we showcase them thank you for your entries in Margaret's 'Enjoy'theme and she will be back with her Top 3 later.

As promised here is Wynn’s Top 3 for her ‘Punch it out’ challenge:

Choosing my Top Three has been a real pleasure. I have enjoyed visiting all your blogs and viewing your yummy creations!! Here is my Top Three!!
 1st No: 8 Laney
Most of my crafty friends know that I have a passion for different shaped cards and babies!. So this had to be a WINNER for me as it ticks all my boxes. I also love the effect of the layered die cuts giving it a lovely yummy texture.

2nd No: 5 Sue

I loved that Sue made the die cut image the 'star of the show'. The beautiful blue colour palette too was wonderful.

3rd No: 9 Seafield Jo
I loved the beautiful sunburst flower shape behind the image. A very striking colour combo too made this card stand out.

Well done Laney Please contact us at cdsunday2@gmail.com to claim your prize and together with Sue and Jo grab the appropriate logo from the side bar.
Now here are the ideas from the team for 'Any Old Iron' – starting with Jocelyn.  I think that they are all great and I am sure that you will too.

As always, please, please, do not forget to use something from a CD somewhere, however small, in the making of your card or project and give the CD credit. Entries that do not include the use of a CD, although welcome to see, will not be considered for the prize on offer.
